Privacy on This Static Publication

A narrow description of the data behavior of this static editorial site and its optional email contact route.

Signal & Hinge is a static editorial website. It does not provide visitor accounts, comments, checkout, subscriptions, advertising forms, quizzes, or an embedded contact form. Reading a page does not ask a visitor to enter a name, payment detail, workplace inventory, cable map, or equipment identifier into the site. The responsive menu runs through a small local script and does not create a user profile.

The publication serves its own style sheet, script, and image files rather than loading social widgets, advertising pixels, third-party fonts, or embedded video players. It does not operate a separate audience-analytics dashboard or build behavioral advertising segments. If the site later adds a data-collecting feature, this notice should be revised before that feature becomes active.

Like other public websites, the hosting and network services that deliver the files may process technical request information needed to respond, secure infrastructure, and diagnose faults. Such information can include an IP address, requested path, timestamp, browser or protocol details, cache status, and response code. Those provider-level operations are separate from a visitor database operated by this publication.

The site does not intentionally set advertising cookies or tracking identifiers. A browser, search engine, network intermediary, or content cache may store public files under ordinary delivery behavior. Visitors can use their own browser controls to review or clear locally held site data. The publication cannot control every external cache that has already received a public page.

The optional email address on the Contact page creates a separate interaction with the sender’s mail provider and the publication’s mail service. Those systems process the sender address, message, routing metadata, and any chosen attachment. Send only what is needed for an editorial report. Messages may be retained while a correction is investigated or a response is prepared, subject to the ordinary controls of the relevant email services.

The publication does not sell, rent, or trade correspondent details, and it has no mailing list populated from editorial messages. A private message is not used as a testimonial or made public without a separate agreement. Service providers or legal obligations may require limited processing for delivery, security, abuse prevention, or lawful requests, but the static pages do not add a hidden collection layer.

Articles may contain a contextual link to another public website. Following that link creates a request to a different destination, which may have its own logs, cookies, availability, security controls, and privacy terms. This notice cannot describe or govern that destination. Review it directly before submitting information, making a purchase, or creating an account there.

Public search and archival services may discover, index, quote, cache, or retain pages because the publication permits crawling. Updating the current file does not guarantee immediate removal from every external result or archive. Questions about this notice can be sent to notes@signalandhinge.example without including sensitive information. Children are not asked to create accounts or submit details through the site.

This notice describes the publication as it exists on the date shown in the pages. A material change in collection behavior should be accompanied by a revised notice that names the new feature and its purpose before visitors encounter it.
